Job Description

We are seeking a VxRail (Dell) Specialist for one of our private sector clients to support the installation and configuration of VxRail systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with rack-and-stack operations, ensuring seamless deployment of Dell VxRail infrastructure in a data center or on-site environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform rack-and-stack activities, including physical installation, cabling, and labeling of VxRail hardware components.
  • Configure VxRail systems according to client specifications, ensuring proper setup and alignment with project requirements.
  • Conduct initial power-up, hardware checks, and basic diagnostics to validate successful installation.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to verify network connectivity and troubleshoot any deployment issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installation steps, configurations, and any encountered issues.
  • Adhere to data center safety and operational best practices during the deployment process.
RequirementsQualifications:
  • Proven hands-on experience with Dell VxRail systems and rack-and-stack operations.
  • Familiarity with data center environments, including cabling and equipment mounting standards.
  • Basic understanding of network connectivity and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with on-site teams and clients.
  • Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering equipment as required in a data center setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Dell technologies or related IT infrastructure (e.g., Dell EMC certifications).
  • Experience with VMware environments and virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of server technologies and IT infrastructure.
Work Conditions:
  • This role is on-site in Vancouver, requiring direct involvement at client locations.
  • May involve occasional overtime or weekend work based on project timelines.
