BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemis”). Artemis is listed on the TSX Venture exchange, and is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. You will have the ability to make a significant contribution to the project team as the Company pursues the disciplined development of the Blackwater Mine. Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction.Reporting to the Mine Manager and working closely with the Human Resources, the Indigenous Relations teams, the Mine Site Indigenous Liaison acts as a go between with mine site Indigenous employees and Mine Management providing mentorship to support employee recruitment and retention. Where appropriate, the Liaison will also act as a go between with Indigenous employees Bands and Mine Management. The Liaison may also support Indigenous employees of other onsite contractors. The position is a first point of contact with employees and provides support and assesses concerns, acting as an agent of referral redirecting employees, where necessary and appropriate, based on employee’s needs. The position supports group and individual onsite cultural and wellness programming, fostering cultural awareness and humility among BW Gold employees at the Blackwater mine site. The Liaison will support the implementation of the training and employment strategy and will support regular and ongoing reviews and updates of the strategy. Additionally, the Liaison works with the Indigenous Relations team to support communications and delivery of information sessions to First Nation communities.

• Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
• Work and practice with cultural awareness, sensitivity, and competence, with an overall goal of cultural safety.
• Maintain mutually beneficial relations with local Indigenous Nations more generally.
• Foster cultural safety by familiarizing self with Indigenous culture and integrating it within work.
• Coordinate communications initiatives with Indigenous employees.
• Identifyamp; assess the needs and capabilities of the Indigenous communities and how BW Gold can support them to build a mutually beneficial relationship.
• Support the development and implementation of an Indigenous training, recruitment, and retention strategy.
• Promote collaborative partnerships to enhance Indigenous Nations with personal development and job readiness skills.
• Help employees to build their resilience and persistence in responding to workplace and personal challenges.
• Aid in capacity building with employees by addressing issues and developing a strengths-based plan with them.
• Provide direct support to employees in addressing issues and implementing their plans.
• Communicate to Indigenous community members about the employment opportunities.
• Support Indigenous employee retention through the development and implementation of wellness programming.
• Promote Indigenous cultural awareness within BW Gold.
• Coordinate information sessions in Indigenous communities.
• Ensure the Project management team is aware of issues that may affect project activity.
• Participate in Corporate Social Responsibility activities related to Indigenous nations.
• Collaborate with the Indigenous Relations team, and First Nations to ensure that Indigenous Traditional Knowledge is considered during the site development and design processes.

• Post Secondary Diploma in Humanities, Business or Sciences preferred.
• 2 years #39; work experience at a similar level in education, social services, community supportamp; outreach or related field.
• Must possess a high level of integrity and personal accountability.
• Must demonstrate good judgement, ability to deal with complex and sensitive issue.
• Strong facilitation, meditation, and communication skills.
• Team player with highly developed communication and strong relationship building skills.
• Ability to provide guidance and support on cultural context and protocols.
• Experience building relationships with Indigenous businesses, community members, governments, and organizations would be considered an asset.
• Intermediate level computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint is required.
• Must be able to travel.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
