BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemisâ€). Artemis is listed on the TSX Venture exchange, and is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. Our current focus is construction of the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver.This is an excellent opportunity for you to join an entrepreneurial organization focused on technical excellence without the bureaucracy of larger firms. You will have the ability to make a significant contribution to the project team as the Company pursues the disciplined development of the Blackwater Mine. Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction.Reporting to the Mine Manager and working closely with the Human Resources, the Indigenous Relations teams, the Mine Site Indigenous Liaison acts as a go between with mine site Indigenous employees and Mine Management providing mentorship to support employee recruitment and retention. Where appropriate, the Liaison will also act as a go between with Indigenous employees Bands and Mine Management. The Liaison may also support Indigenous employees of other onsite contractors. The position is a first point of contact with employees and provides support and assesses concerns, acting as an agent of referral redirecting employees, where necessary and appropriate, based on employee’s needs. The position supports group and individual onsite cultural and wellness programming, fostering cultural awareness and humility among BW Gold employees at the Blackwater mine site. The Liaison will support the implementation of the training and employment strategy and will support regular and ongoing reviews and updates of the strategy. Additionally, the Liaison works with the Indigenous Relations team to support communications and delivery of information sessions to First Nation communities.
