Job Description

Celebrating 62 years of BusinessWe Bring Food to Your Family’s Table!We are now hiring a Corporate Recruiter for our Montreal or Ottawa, terminals!Shift Details: Monday to Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.Responsibilities:

  • Track all hiring requests and approvals, working with recruiters and managers on maintaining the analytics of hiring requests.
  • Working with department managers, supervisors and driver services personnel to produce internal/external job postings as they relate to approved hiring requests. Monitor and track new employees and corresponding hiring requests.
  • Assist Managers and/or Supervisors with open positions and their recruitment specifically non-driver positions at all terminals and cross trained on driver recruitment. Organize structure and lead interview processes when required.
  • Call for Pre-employment Health Survey appointment when required. This also may involve going to other terminals. Make recommendations to management regarding applicant’s fit into position. Begin offer process when required in conjunction with HR Manager.
  • Assist managers with administration of P.I. Index surveys, notifications for new applications and/or existing staff.
  • Assist in updating and creating job descriptions with supervisors within the Erb Group network as required.
  • Collect significant departmental data from HR Infinium system and provide reports when required. i.e. hiring/termination reports (monthly) open hiring requests etc. Become skilled at producing Excel spreadsheet info from Infinium system and produce when required.
  • Assist in tracking and maintaining recruitment budgets and assessing analytics
  • Pass on Health Survey results to direct supervisor for potential applicants as well as written reports for filing. Reviewing invoices for Human Resources Supervisor approval.
  • Maintaining confidentiality within this department is a must.
  • All other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bilingual
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources either diploma or degree
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in recruitment, transportation industry would be an asset.
  • A high level of personal maturity and excellent inter-personal skills are required for this position.
  • A high level of communication, organizational, and computer skills are necessary i.e. Microsoft office programs WORD, Excel, internet, and other technology.
  • Honest, trustworthy, and ability to work independently is definitely required.
  • Maintaining confidentiality is mandatory.
  • An understanding of Erb culture would be as asset.
