Job Description

Status: Full-time, Permanent Position | Location: Vaudreuil-Dorion, QCReport To: Director of Human Resources | Service: Human ResourcesReporting to the Director of Human Resources the Recruiter is responsible for meeting hiring goals by filling open positions with talented and qualified candidates. This entails sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating the interview process, and facilitating offers and employment negotiations, all while ensuring candidates have a pleasant experience.Top candidates will be excellent at problem-solving, efficient in scheduling and precise in the recruitment process.The Recruiter ensures compliance with laws, labor standards and work processes. He remains on the lookout for new recruitment trends and new tools available.He performs all other related tasks requested by his immediate supervisor and works in close collaboration with the HR Coordinator and the Payroll department.ResponsibilitiesRecruiting and welcoming new employees | 90%

  • Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline.
  • Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications and performing phone screenings.
  • Develop job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements.
  • Perform reference checks as needed.
  • Facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and negotiating employment terms.
  • Manage onboarding and new hire process.
  • Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices.
  • Manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process
  • Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations
  • Oversee the completion of compensation and benefit documentation.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
  • Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
Administration and job fairs | 10%
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Prepare job descriptions in French and English.
  • Ensure filing.
  • Participate in job fairs.

Academic Aspects and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or in a related field would be an asset.
  • 2 years of recruiting experience is a must.
  • Member of CRHA would be an asset (Membre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés).
  • Highly computer literate, with emails, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust.
  • Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods.
  • Deep understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Familiar with a wide variety of sourcing avenues.
  • The ability to conduct different types of interviews.
  • Experience with recruitment processes and databases.
  • The ability to design and implement recruiting strategies.
  • Knowledge of the Nethris system.
  • Knowledge of TimeZone would be an asset.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
