Celebrating 61 years of BusinessWe Bring Food to Your Family’s Table!We are now hiring a part-time Weekend Shunter/Wash Bay Attendant for our Montreal, Quebec terminal.Shift Details: Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.Position Summary: To ensure that trucks and trailers are properly moved and washed in the yard.Responsibilities:Responsible to move trailers in and out of dock as per Dock instructions via radio/phone.Ensure refers are set at appropriate temperatures after being moved from the dock, and doors correctly secured and sealed. Trailer seal numbers are to be recorded on the «Daily Work Sheet».Must keep the yard organised (placing trailers/trucks in their appropriate locations).Keep the wash bay clean and orderly. Sweep up floor and rear deck, store hoses and wands. Report any damage or defects in the wash bay and area (lights, hoses, doors, etc.). Secure all doors at the end of the shift.Perform visual pre-trips on equipment (Trailer/Straight Trucks) before backing into the dock. Report any failures to appropriate personnel.Wash & sanitize trailers, straight truck, tractors, and equipment as needed. Reports must be completed and handed to the Weekend Operations Supervisor.Wash and sanitize outside carriers trailers as needed (Erb will bill the customer).Yard checks must be performed on an ongoing basis.Report mechanical defects on trucks and trailers immediately to the Weekend Operations Supervisor.During winter, the candidate will be required to assist in the cleaning of the snow around the building if necessary.Ensure all vehicles are plugged in during winter.Responsible to understand company Occupational Safety and Health regulations and abide by all company policies and procedures.
