Job Description

Are you passionate about creating delicious baked goods and adding a touch of sweetness to people #39;s lives Appoint Staffing is currently seeking a skilled Baker on behalf of our esteemed client, a thriving bakery located in Aurora. If you have a love for baking and possess the necessary skills, we invite you to join our team!Location: Aurora, Ontario.Shift: 12-Hour Shifts.Pay Rate: $18-$19 per hour.Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of bakery items, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards.
  • Follow established recipes and formulas to achieve consistency in flavor, texture, and appearance of baked goods.
  • Accurately measure and combine ingredients, using proper mixing techniques to create doughs and batters.
  • Operate and monitor baking equipment, ensuring proper temperatures and bake times to achieve optimal results.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, taste, and presentation, making adjustments as needed to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. Regularly clean and sanitize baking equipment.
  • Assist in managing ingredient inventory, notifying management when supplies need to be replenished.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, including kitchen staff and management, to ensure a smooth and efficient baking process.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing customer inquiries related to baked goods.
  • Be open to learning new recipes and techniques, and adapt to changes in production requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Baker in a commercial bakery setting.
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, equipment, and ingredients.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
