Job Description

  • Oversees seasonal supervisors; supervisory duties include instructing; assigning, viewing and planning work of others; maintaining standards; coordinating activities; allocating personnel; selecting new employees; acting on employee relations; recommending employee promotions, transfers and corrective action.
  • Maintains responsibility for set up before park opening, including cleaning and organizing of all games, procurement of microphones, props, and other operational purchases, coordinate with inter-department partners to ensure all technical related start-ups are complete, as well as ensuring adequate product levels exist for anticipated business.
  • Assist Manager with all aspects of the Games operations.
  • Assists with operating Game as business demands while coaching staff by leading by example.
  • Oversee sales systems and procedures to ensure safe handling and controls
  • Monitor labour by effectively executing staff schedules for approximately 250 employees.
  • Assist with the development of department policies and procedures to maintain excellence in service and quality and to ensure proper controls.
  • Monitors the department’s financial performance and takes action to meet budgetary guidelines.
  • Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels throughout the season and achieving targeted Cost of Sales as well as targeted closing inventory levels.
  • Ensures proper maintenance and cleaning of grounds, facilities and equipment.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays and evenings is essential
Qualifications:
  • Post-Secondary education in related field or equivalent of 3+ yrs. supervising/managing in a multi-faceted retail operation.
  • Prior experience hiring, training and development of employees.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and POS systems an asset.
  • Proven abilities successfully managing high volume customer service operation.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Computer literate with strong excel skills.
  • Experience with sourcing, buying, budgets, data analysis a definite asset
  • Proven ability to problem-solve, work with strict deadlines and work independently
  • Must have strong judgment and be an innovative problem solver
