Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Learning Programs, the Learning and Development Design Manager’s primary focus will be to design and develop innovative content and facilitate and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts for the professional development of leaders at all levels of the organization- from restaurants to head office.What your week could look like:On Monday, you meet with the Central Training team to celebrate record breaking learner participation, provide an update on how we are incorporating feedback from our learners to evolve content, and communicate which courses are being launched next semester.On Tuesday, you host a webinar titled “Getting Results through Others”, teaching Head Office teammates about different action planning and delegation strategies.Mid-week, you collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and facilitators to continuously evolve our training to best engage learners virtually.Thursday, you meet with our Human Resources team to build learning objectives for a recruitment course, and also with our Quality Assurance team to improve our best-in-class Food Safety initiatives.On Friday, you co-host an event with a vendor partner at an earth-to-table culinary innovation centre to engage our Culinary team while learning about seasonal ingredients and what’s trending.What you will do in this role:Work in partnership with the Senior Manager, Learning & Development programs to develop strategy and curriculum planningDesign, create and adjust learning strategies with measurable learning objectives, outcomes and Key Performance IndicatorsCollaborate with Subject Matter Experts to drive high-quality execution of innovative and impactful courses that meet our overall employee development objectivesCreate learning programs in a variety of modalities- virtual, in-person, self-directed etc.- for a best-in-class learning experience that offers a blended learning approachFacilitate or support facilitation of learning events and organization initiativesEffectively manage courses and events, which may include preparing budgets, scouting and booking locations and organizing facilitatorsIdentify and track progress and evaluate risks related to curriculum execution and outcomesWhat we are looking for from you:Minimum 3 years of experience in learning design and developmentAbility to manage large-scale projects while delivering robust training programsAbility to work with and influence internal and external stakeholdersExcellent critical thinking skills with the ability to strategize and execute content streamsPassion for providing individuals with the skills, knowledge and tools they need to succeedWillingness to learn new ideas, systems and processes while challenging the status quoBonus points for knowledge of and experience with Google Workspace toolsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and self-starter attitudeBonus points for restaurant, retail or service experienceAbility to create an effective and inclusive learning environment for all learnersWhat’s in it for you:You’d be joining a close-knit, innovative team of creative and energetic go-getters that are passionate about learning and educationYou’d be a part of Canada’s largest full-service restaurant company that leads the industry in size and innovation20% associate discount dining card and monthly dining allowance valid at participating Recipe brandsA welcoming, fun and safe work environment founded on respectCareer advancement opportunities with a company that owns some of Canada’s most iconic restaurant brandsIndustry-leading benefits, wellness programs, and total rewards programsRecipe is committed to providing a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
