Looking for part time work Do you like to work independently Do you like to work at your own pace and set your own scheduleThen we have an opportunity for you.We at Montague Mattress Company inspect and repair mattresses, box springs and adjustable beds/chairs right across North America. Ours is a straightforward job and our responsibilities are simple: to inspect (and repair when required) mattresses, box springs and adjustable beds/chairs for warrantable defects; take pictures, write up the report and then send both to our office. We dont deliver mattresses nor do we remove them so there are no real physical demands. We are a neutral third party so our inspectors dont indicate whether the mattress is to be exchanged or whether an exchange is to be denied. In fact, one can say that our responsibility is to take no responsibility- someone else will call the customer to determine what will be done after the inspection has taken place.Who do we needOur reps are essentially an extension of customer service. We need inspectors who are presentable, responsible, have good interpersonal skills, can work independently and have an eye for detail. If you dont like people, this job is not for you! Previous experience in mattress inspections or having worked in the bedding industry is a bonus but not necessary; we will train you in how to inspect mattresses properly and in a professional manner. Repairs, when required, are simple and straightforward being handy and creative is a plus. What equipment is needed for thisA reliable vehicle, a digital or I-Phone camera, a computer and a 4 foot level and some basic tools.Who works for usOur technicians come from all walks of life: university students stay at home moms, retired, salespeople, small business owners, ex- police and military, etc. All share one thing in common: they enjoy people and enjoy working independently.Benefits: This is part time, ongoing, contractual work that is a filler to whatever you have on the go. There is a lot of flexibility so customer inspections can be arranged around your own schedule. Play baseball Tuesday nights Then dont book appointments for that evening. We dont set your schedule- you do; we dont want to micro manage you at all. You call the customer, book a time that works for both of you, go at that time and then send the report and pictures back to us. Once you leave the house, that customers file is closed. We dont want you working in a vacuum, so all techs have our toll free number to call for technical back up or just moral support. Because you are considered a sub-contractor, there are no deductions on the income you earn. No taxes, no source deductions. This can be extra income for family expenses, school trips, education funds, topping up investments or just extra spending money. All income must be reported at the end of the year as well as your deductions. A tax specialist can help you in when completing your tax filings.Job Types: Casual, FreelanceSalary: $19.00-$35.00 per hourApplication question(s):
