Job Description

As the Quality Manager duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Hands on Leader, teacher, mentor
  • Full CMM skills, in all aspects, programming, Use, support etc...
  • Ensure daily and weekly Inspection activities are planned
  • Ensure inspection resources are allocated to daily inspection tasks to ensure timely completion
  • Ensure all inspection personnel have adequate time and tools to perform duties accurately and thoroughly
  • Ensure FAI activities, resources and documentation are coordinated
  • Ensure that internal audits are effective, carried out on time, and that they target improvement opportunities so that they are truly a source of improvement for our business
  • Develop, analyze and communicate QA/QC performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPA)
  • Participate in Customer Program Review meetings, Weekly Operations and Management Meetings, Daily Operations Focus meeting, Quality Staff meetings and Corrective Action Board meeting.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities
  • Contribute the implementation of the CMM framework
  • Assist with the identification, implementation and automation of the CMM metrics for various models
  • Coordination of the analysis of CMM results, identification of model risk issues and relevant remediation actions
  • Management of interactions with relevant stakeholders (Validation team, 1LOD, IT, MRM Governance team, other risk groups)
  • Assist with the CMM input to management reporting and MRM committees, escalation of issues to relevant stakeholders

  • Act as a delegate / liaison on CMM related topics
  • Assist with the design CMM metrics and aggregation approach to enhance the risk management reporting
  • Assist with the CMM metrics analysis and reporting
  • Write code to automate tasks or run ad-hoc analysis
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and review of data to produce metrics
  • Write minutes and procedures pertaining to CMM stream
  • Assist in the preparation of governance committees
Secondary
  • Ensure QC personnel are properly and effectively trained to support inspection activities
  • Manage and participate in internal quality system and product audits
  • Ensure effective preparation for external audits and put in place the necessary monitoring tools to ensure that corrective actions are implemented as per target dates
  • Ensure customer source inspection activities are coordinated
  • Ensure internal NCRs are processed efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Ensure customer concessions for internal non-conformance issues are submitted in a timely manner
  • Collect weekly quality data; provide Quality Journal Report on a monthly basis
  • Maintain Operator Self inspection program
  • Ensure Bonded Stores area is maintained
  • Ensure H&S in QC area is maintained
  • Ensure 5S program in QC area is maintained
  • Monitor QC daily KPIs thru daily Focus Meeting
  • Manage QC/QA KPIs as determined in yearly Goals and Objectives
  • Ensure effective communication with Finance for scrap and reserve information
  • Ensure QC overtime and payroll issues are managed
  • Implement new customer Quality requirements
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience Managing a quality team.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience
  • High degree of organizational, administrative and communication skills;
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions from a customer perspective
  • High level of Quality management systems knowledge
  • Possess excellent Root Cause analysis skills
  • Ability to perform detailed manual verification on complex parts and assemblies
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T
  • Ability to use measuring, inspection and testing tools and equipment
  • Practical understanding of customer configuration control
  • Ability to gather information from supplier and customer web sites
  • Familiar with FMEA and APQP
  • Knowledge of HD AS9100 procedures
  • Use of Enovia® for DPD inspections and Baan for QC transactions and data entry is considered an asset
  • 6 Sigma knowledge considered an asset
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • The ability to wear the required PPE.
  • Candidates must meet security screening requirements as set out by ITAR/CGRP directives.
