This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual participates in the planning, implementing, designing, analyzing, maintaining, and providing technical support for large, complex computer systems including EPIC application and other clinical applications.This individual will assist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of our standard Project Management Methodology. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development, technical analysis, and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions. Participation on projects is focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development staff to production staff by performing operations activities within the project life cycle.What must you haveStrong skills in Linux/Unix System Administration with 5-10 years industry experience in supporting Production systems.RHEL 6/7/8 implementation, Administration, installation, and MaintenanceStrong skills in Linux Cluster management, Coro sync, fence, pacemaker, Red Hat satellite serverMonitoring and administering Red Hat Linux servers.Knowledgeable in shell script, ftp/sftp tools and storage copy.Installation of Patches, software’s, and Firmware upgradesBS/BA degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related Information Technology Discipline preferredPreferably, your profile also includes:Strong knowledge of any scripting language (Born/Korn/C shell, Perl etc)Proven organizational and time management skillsExperience in Cache/IRIS database, VMWare Horizon preferredKnowledge of Networking technologies, protocols, tuning and troubleshooting Linux server and cluster service issues.Experience in Epic or Rhapsody Applications desirableStrong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsTroubleshooting skills with network protocols such as DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP & SNMPStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively communicate technical issues to non-technical individualsProvided on-call support and work with Vendors on system issues and bugs for its resolutionAbility to understand and acquire new technical skillsPrefer knowledge in Red Hat satellite setup and support.Proficient in System administration, System planning, co-ordination, commissioning, setting up security hierarchy and capacity planningAbility to work with tight deadlines and changing prioritiesAbility to handle multiple tasks and work independently as well as a team memberContribute to safe, quality care byManaging a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.Addressing and resolving issues in a productive, respectful manner.Exercising sound professional judgment and using best practice guidelines.What else do you bringgHealthcare experience in an acute care environment.Demonstrated strong decision-making, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Demonstrated ability to take initiative and adjust to new or unexpected events.Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
