Overview:Canada’s Wonderland brings holiday traditions to life with WinterFest, an immersive celebration featuring millions of Christmas lights, world class live entertainment, festive treats and skating on Snow Flake Lake in front of the iconic Wonder Mountain. Join our WinterFest team and be a part of the holiday magic while maintaining assigned costumes.This position pays $18.00 per hour.How Youll Make A Difference:Ensure all assigned costumes, wigs and worn props are maintained and worn in the same state as set during Tech Week by the Designers, Producer and Entertainment ManagementPerform daily cleaning, repairs, and maintenance of all assigned costumesConduct daily checks of assigned costumes for preventative maintenance purposes; includes all assigned character costumes, clothing, wigs, headpieces, hats, shoes, costume pieces, and any worn propsMaintain at all times a positive rapport with all guests and employees in the Park, whether it is during a performance, or during a personal encounter while out in the ParkEnsure that all safety standards and practices are metAbide by all Canada’s Wonderland policies and procedures as set out by the park and the Entertainment DepartmentPerform all duties as assigned by Department Management including but not be limited to the cleaning of the break room, associated backstage areas, clean-up rehearsals, meetings and “notes” sessionsUse all means at his/her disposal to promote a positive spirit of unity within the departmentAssist with other duties as requiredWere Looking For:Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a post secondary program that includes a specialty in theatrical wardrobe, costuming or fashionPossess a good understanding of all costume and wardrobe equipment including sewing machines, sergers, irons, steamers and laundry and maintenance equipmentSolid working knowledge of adhesives will assist in character costume maintenanceA knowledge and understanding of fabrics and fabric care is also requiredAbility to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needsAble to wear personal protective equipment deemed necessary to perform this job safely (may include; gloves, mask and/or face shield, non-slip shoes etc)Quick Apply
