Job Description

Overview:Coordinates and manages the daily operational needs of the show product and staff of the assigned theatre or special event venue. This position pays $18.75 per hour.How Youll Make A Difference:

  • Coordinates and manages the daily operational needs of the show product and staff of the assigned theatre or special event venue
  • Responsible for the training and supervision of all staff to ensure proper adherence to all current park and departmental policies and procedures and to all current Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations
  • Work with performers, crew, and other Entertainment Supervisors to ensure the artistic intent of show productions is maintained as set by directors, designers, and Entertainment Management
  • Implement new ideas and procedures for the smooth operation of assigned venue(s) within the Department
  • Coordinate with the Costume Creative and Department Managers the maintenance and refurbishing of all show costumes and fabric festival décor pieces
  • Appraise the performance of all employees in their program and initiate recommendations for promotions, and provide corrective action in accordance with company policies and procedures in conjunction with fellow supervisors
  • Responsible for all assigned assets and resources and the maintenance of same as required including the startup, daily upkeep, cleaning, and shut down of assigned facilities
  • Abide by and enforce all Canada’s Wonderland policies and procedures as set out by the Park and the Entertainment Department. Specific policies and procedures are outlined in the Park Employee and Entertainment Handbooks
  • Communicate daily with Department Manager and peers to ensure work continuity within the operations of the Entertainment Department
  • Attend and participate in weekly production meetings and produce reports as assigned
  • Use all means at their disposal to promote a positive spirit and unity within the department
  • Assist with other duties as required
Were Looking For:
  • Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a post-secondary technical theatre program, that includes a specialty in the area of stage and/or production management
  • An understanding of procedures of the theatre, basic technical knowledge and proven leadership and people management skills
  • Administrative and computer literacy is required with experience in using Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Previous park experience is an asset
  • Able to multi-task and work efficiently in all types of weather conditions
  • Dependable and enjoy the prospect of working in a guest oriented environment
  • Able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays during summer, fall, and winter
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment deemed necessary to perform this job safely (may include; gloves, mask and/or face shield, non-slip shoes etc)
