Our Corporate Security & Responsibility, Communications, Human Resources, Procurement & Value Creation and Real Estate teams work collaboratively to drive our corporate strategy forward.Name and description of the hiring department:The Employee Services (ES) group is responsible for providing support to employees of Bell Canada and its subsidiaries. These services include payroll administration, transactions, management of employee transfers and eligibility for the Employee Discount Plan. ES also include the “Ask HR” group, a new centralized team whose mandate is to answer employees’ questions on the company’s various human-resource-related programs and policies.The Ask HR assistant is responsible for interpreting, analyzing and end-to-end processing of complex and unusual questions related to Human Resources plans and policies. He or she must offer employees an optimal experience at all times, while respecting the company’s policies and programs. The incumbent plays a key role as intermediary between the various specialized internal groups in establishing trends, analyzing gaps and simplifying processes, while meeting very tight performance deadlines and a high level of quality. The assistant proactively proposes solutions to improve processes and/or content related to the company’s plans and programs. He or she also makes recommendations on the application of the Employee Discount Plan and on HR work processes and policies across the company.Job Duties / Accountabilities:

  • Receive and provide end-to-end resolution of information requests from employees and managers sent via various sources (email, chat or telephone), while meeting set deadlines and a high level of confidentiality
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of situations and document the case management tool (Sherlock) and various systems
  • Guide and educate employees in specific HR topics, tools, policies and processes with a view to promote self-service behaviour and increase employees’ independence in finding information
  • Able to judge when another employee at a different level or in a different department should be involved in a request in order to ensure end-to-end resolution
  • Carry out the necessary follow-ups (calls or emails) for case updates and/or resolution within the prescribed time
  • Emphasize continuous improvement of the employee experience—highlight gaps and follow up to ensure that adjustments are made
Essential Qualifications / Competencies:
  • Bilingual; English and French - Fluent in the language with no significant limitation
  • Good knowledge of HR policies and best practices
  • Strong organizational, planning and priority-management skills; ability to meet tight deadlines and manage stress well
  • Great flexibility—ability to adapt quickly to change and work independently
  • Ability to reach a compromise with and influence sometimes difficult employees or customers while keeping a cool head
  • Strong analytical skills in order to fully understand needs and the fundamental causes of problems to follow up with adapted recommendations
  • Great attention to detail to ensure that accurate information is provided to customers
  • Good team player
  • Excellent active listening skills and empathetic, diplomatic communication skills
  • Ability to assimilate a large amount of information in a short period of time
  • Demonstrate drive, creativity and innovation
  • Previous experience in human resources and/or employee services
  • Attention to detail due to the personal confidential information received
Preferred Qualifications / Competencies:
  • Good knowledge of SAP (HR)
  • Certification in Human Resources an asset
  • Call centre experience
Working Conditions:
  • Possible work schedule: Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5 pm depending on seniority
  • Possible occasional overtime
