Job Description

  • Assist with snow removal, including shoveling, and light equipment operation on an on-call basis
  • Monitor campus for ice, and deploy ice melt or sand as required
  • Be available on weekends or evenings if required
Spring/Summer:
  • Turf maintenance: mowing, line trimming
  • Equipment operation: ride on mowers, small tractors, blowers, line trimmers, push mowers
  • Landscape installation: planting trees or shrubs, mulching, seeding
  • General maintenance: leaf/debris clean up, checking garbages, removal/deployment of ice melt boxes, road repair
Job Requirements
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding role. Activities such as walking, standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Work in various weather extremes such as cold, heat, or rain
  • Flexible schedule with availability on weekends or evenings if required
Additional InformationThis is a Casual AUPE appointment at the Vermilion campus commencing as soon as possible and ending March 31, 2023.Competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
