You’ll represent Lakeland in a variety of ways that shows why the college is a great place to be.Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance Lakeland’s reputation and develop relationships by promoting its programs and hands-on learning opportunities, campuses and campus life, facilities, and events
  • Help Lakeland build an authentic digital identity on social media
  • Share your unique student experience with others – in-person on campus and digitally
  • Assist our enrolment and recruitment team with campus tours and college events such as Information Sessions, Open House, College Night, and Tour Week
  • Collaborate with our marketing team to create engaging social media content that highlights your Lakeland experience
  • Support our fund development team by building relationships with donors
  • Attend monthly meetings for department updates and skill development
Job Requirements
  • Must be a Lakeland College student in a full-time program at our Vermilion or Lloydminster campus
  • Able to attend various monthly events and support recruitment initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work in a team setting
  • Excellent oral and written communication, and time management skills
  • Willing to learn about Lakeland programs, services and facilities, and communities
  • Ability to create social media content and publicity materials. Knowledge of Instagram and TikTok is an asset
  • Strong adherence to college procedures and protocols, including confidentiality
  • Minimum 2.3 GPA
Additional InformationAs a Lakeland Student Ambassador your working hours will vary each week but should not exceed 10 hours per week. You’re a student first and your schedule will work around your academics. You will be expected to model positive academic habits and maintain a strong GPA. You will also be expected to give the responsibilities of the position priority over other college activities, except those which pertain to your academic success.This is a Student AUPE appointment on the Vermilion campus commencing September 26, 2022 and ending April 21, 2023.Wage: $15.00 per hour plus 11.2% for vacation/stat holiday pay.Competition will remain open until September 22, 2022.
