Job Description

Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Produce Clerk to join our produce team on a part-time basis at our location in Vermilion, AB. Reporting to the Produce Manager.What you’ll do:

  • Able to work a variety of shifts – including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis
  • Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences
  • Assist in all areas of Produce
  • Stock shelves & coolers
  • Fill product displays following department standards
  • Assist with freight in the morning
  • Take customer orders accurately
  • Perform general cleaning and housekeeping
  • Food preparation (and demos when able to)
  • Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operatives vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety
  • Be familiar with and follow all safe food handling practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • You have a grade 12 or combination of relevant experience; previous retail or produce experience would be an asset
  • You’re able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • You’re action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members

  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives
