We are currently seeking applications for experienced full time seasonal Dump Truck Drivers.We currently employ approximately 25 staff, servicing municipal, commercial, residential and provincial paving markets. Vernon Paving is a Union company that offers employee benefits and competitive wages ranging from $27-$30/hour depending on experience. We offer a safe work environment, on the job training, up to date well-kept equipment and room for advancement. These positions are based out of our Armstrong location and work sites are throughout the North Okanagan.Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with load and unload areas, hauls materials safely to designated areas and maintains safe speed and observes all haulage.
  • Performs walk-around pre-trip safety inspections. Identifies safety problems or concerns and reports any unsafe conditions to Supervisor including near misses and areas where safety can be improved.
  • Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors and customers serviced.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 1 Drivers License.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience hauling construction materials.
  • Workers must be punctual and reliable
  • Ability to work in all weather
  • Able to conform to our drug and alcohol policy.
