Who are we looking forVernon Jubilee Hospital is seeking a casual Unit support Worker to join their team. The successful candidate will have completed Grade 12, have one years recent experience, and a typing test of 40+ words per minute from an accredited source. This position works a rotating schedule of days, evenings, and nights (including weekends and holidays when the rotation requires it) from 07:00-15:00, 15:00-23:00, and 23:00-07:00.Casual employment includes: short-notice, on-call availability; workload coverage during a temporary absence; and/or providing relief coverage in a specific position. Once hired into a casual role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent part-time or full time positions. There are many opportunities with Interior Health that begin with casual positions and lead to regular employment.What will you work onThe Unit Support Worker performs a variety of support functions in accordance with Interior Health policies and procedures such as receiving visitors, telephone answering, completing client documentation, stocking, cleaning and tidying duties.
