Job Description

About Us: Waterworth is a leading SaaS company in the utility financial planning space. We are looking for an insightful and dynamic Data Analyst to join our team. This position will focus on producing and maintaining key analysis and dashboards for tracking sales activity and revenue performance, providing actionable insights, and supporting decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, working closely with C-suite executives to develop strategic analysis and drive performance improvement.Job Summary: The Data Analyst will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving sales, customer success and revenue dashboards to provide real-time insights into business performance. The role involves presenting findings executives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing data-driven recommendations. The Data Analyst will also play an essential role in training and upskilling internal stakeholders, ensuring the broader organization can leverage data effectively in decision-making.Key Responsibilities:

  • Dashboard Creationamp; Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards that provide real-time insights on sales activities, revenue trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Reportingamp; Analysis: Produce regular reports on sales performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to executives in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Ad-Hoc Requests: Provide data analysis support for business questions and initiatives as they arise, ensuring fast and accurate insights are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Upskillingamp; Training: Work with internal teams to increase data competency across the organization by creating training materials and conducting workshops or one-on-one sessions to empower employees to use data and analytics tools effectively.
  • Data Governance: Ensure that data quality standards are adhered to and that data used in dashboards and reports is accurate, reliable, and consistent.
  • Business Partnering: Engage with various business units to identify new analysis opportunities and ensure that data insights align with strategic business goals.
RequirementsSkillsamp; Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field, with a focus on sales and revenue reporting.
  • Toolsamp; Technologies: Proficiency in data visualization tools, advanced Excel skills (including Power Query and VBA), Power Automate, knowledge of Python, R or other scripting languages and familiarity with database management and SQL.
  • Education: Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics or Actuarial Science.
  • Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex data insights to C-suite executives, as well as non-technical stakeholders, in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaboration: Experience working in a cross-functional environment, with a collaborative approach to solving business problems.
  • Trainingamp; Mentorship: Experience in training and mentoring colleagues on data-driven decision-making and the use of analytics tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, error-free reports and dashboards.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Utility Infrastructure, Hubspot, financial modeling, or advanced statistical techniques is a plus.
