Additionally, this role will work with senior leadership to complete strategic projects as assigned and is responsible for supporting the successful implementation of fundraising, donor engagement, and communication strategies in alignment with Pacifica Housing’s mission and strategic goals. The incumbent is expected to work both independently and collaboratively, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality execution of tasks.Key Responsibilities:1.Provides a variety of fund development and marketing support, including:·Assisting in researching potential grant opportunities and drafting communications content for fundraising campaigns and donor stewardship as needed;·Support the implementation/execution of a donor recognition process;·Support in identifying partnership and funding opportunities to support the organization’s mission;·Supporting the implementation and execution of social media ads;·Provide event planning and community engagement support when required; ·Administrative support with data collection and reporting on project performance and program outcomes;2.Spearheads internal and external communications support for the organization, including:·Support the implementation of the strategic communications plan, including internal and resident communication, advocacy, and raising the organization’s profile in the community;·Social media content development (including video content), posting and monitoring to grow the organization’s digital media presence; ·Assisting with content creation on the organization’s website; ·Liaising with all departments and identified residents/clients to support the creation of impact stories and reports to share the organization’s impact;·Support in creating internal and external communication material such as newsletters, blog posts, presentations, recruitment and event marketing;·Support in responding to media requests, preparing news releases and responding to community feedback;·Maintaining CRM information; ·Creating branded materials for social media, newsletters, marketing materials, signage, and events. 3.Perform related duties as required; and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.RequirementsQualifications (minimum Education and Experience requirements):Note:An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Education: Diploma or certification in marketing, communications, business administration, fund development, or a related area.Experience: ·1-2 years in an administrative capacity in an administrative capacity with a focus on communications or fundraising ·Experience initiating and coordinating projects·Experience with digital content creation and marketing ·Experience and comfort engaging with people from all walks of life, including marginalized populations·Experience effectively collaborating with senior leadership within an organization, and other external stakeholdersKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:·Excellent written and oral communication skills·Experience supporting community engagement and event planning·Research and writing skills·Time management and project coordination ·High attention to detail·High level of accountability while working with key stakeholders within and outside the organization,·Demonstrated knowledge of information technology and social media applications and platforms relevant to the position (i.e. MS Office, CRM systems, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, WordPress, etc.)Additional Criteria for Role:·Some flexibility in working hours may be required to meet project deadlines and organizational needs and occasional after hours work such as special events and initiatives.As Pacifica Housing works with vulnerable populations, We require all staff to successfully clear a Vulnerable Sectors Criminal Record Check run by the Ministry of Justice.
