The concierge serves as the primary point of contact for military members, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating a smooth and comfortable stay.Job Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service to clients
  • Read and understand Maritime Pacific Single Quarter’s Regulations
  • Act as building Fire Warden
  • Complete check-in and check-out of clients
  • Complete rounds of building
  • Complete damage reports
  • Submit work orders with Real Property Operations
  • Maintain key control
  • Maintain building safety equipment (first aid kits, eye wash stations, emergency showers, earthquake survival kits)
  • Prepare linen exchanges
  • Room Cleaning
  • Report to Base Accommodation Officer regarding needs for linen, furniture, supplies, etc.
  • Use Microsoft Office suite of software including: MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Work, MS Access, MS PowerPoint
  • Extensively use Base Accommodation software (MS Access and QuickQuarters)
  • Use POS equipment to process debit/credit payments
  • Liaise with outside agencies such as Preventative Medicine, Real Property Operations, DND Fire Services, and other units to ensure reservations needs are understood
  • Execute emergency procedures (fire, active shooter, earthquake, building evacuations, etc.)
Qualifications and Experience
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and obtain a Level II (Secret) security clearance
  • Ability to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift
  • Comfortable standing and sitting long periods of time
  • Be an intermediate computer user
  • Fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills
  • Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanour
  • Have excellent attention to complete incident report writing
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable handling emergencies in a calm manner – trainingamp; support will be provided
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations
