In this role you will contribute to effective change management at a dynamic organization in an environment of continuous change.As the Advisor, Organizational Change Management, (OCM) you will maximize your impact through consultation and collaboration with excellence-driven professionals and have the opportunity to further evolve an established and successful OCM function at our headquarters in downtown Victoria, BC.DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONThe Human Resources department provides HR leadership across BCI, in direct support of investment return objectives and delivering on BCI #39;s mandate. The HR department adds value as a strategic business partner, an enabler of change when mandates shift, and serves as a trusted advisor to the CEO/CIO, executive, and the board on all people matters.HR supports every person at BCI and serves as a trusted partner to all departments on strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR matters. By focusing on our talent, we ensure the organization has the right people with the right skills supporting and delivering on investment strategies for the benefit of our clients.TEAM DESCRIPTIONThe Talent Management team provides strategic oversight and administration of the talent management lifecycle from world class learning and development programs, succession planning, and career pathing, to organizational change management leadership. Talent Management works closely with other HR functions, in particular Business Partnership, Equity Diversity Inclusionamp; Employee Experience, and Total Rewards to provide the training and development necessary that support current and future business needs.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Advisor, Organizational Change Management is responsible for providing organizational change management for assigned projects and business initiatives. The individual plays a key role in ensuring BCI meets desired business outcomes by providing sound OCM support and guidance. The position reports to the Manager, Organizational Change Management. As part of the OCM team, the Advisor works with business owners, project leads and other stakeholders to identify and address people, organizational, process and technology impacts. This role is responsible for development of OCM plans and hands-on execution of identified OCM activities.This role will be based in Victoria with potential travel required to BCI #39;s office in Vancouver.QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience leading, developing and executing change management plans
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Business, Communications or relevant discipline
  • A solid understanding of the change process and change management principles
  • Experience developing and executing communication plans to support change efforts
  • Experience developing and executing training plans related as part of change management
  • Experience supporting project sponsors and management teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write for a variety of audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of stakeholders, including both employees and contractors
  • Facilitation experience, with ability to design and execute working sessions to uncover change impacts
  • Solid understanding of project management methodology and project lifecycles
  • Proficient with Microsoft products, including Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving results in a complex business environment
  • Initiative, drive, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED
  • Experience within the financial or investment industry
  • PROSCI or other equivalent change management certification
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define, capture and understand change impacts including impacts on stakeholders and any barriers that must be overcome and any behavioral shifts required
  • Develop and execute OCM plans to support the implementation of multiple projects and business initiatives
  • Partner with business owners, project leads, managers, contractors and other BCI stakeholders to implement change management activities
  • Continuously improve and update OCM plans and modify change management activities based on stakeholder feedback and input
  • Plan, execute and support change management activities as appropriate to project complexity, change impact and stakeholder needs
  • Engage stakeholders to gain support and buy-in to support effective implementation and sustainment of change
  • Develop and implement communication plans to support change
  • Write communications and manage various communication tactics and channels
  • Develop and implement training plans as required to support acquisition of knowledgeamp; skills related to change plans
  • Provide sponsor support and change leadership coaching to management teams
  • Effectively build relationships, participate on project teams and provide support to achieve the desired business results
  • As part of the OCM team, work to ensure alignment with organization-wide change management efforts to develop change management capacity and capability
SALARY RANGEBCI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive healthamp; dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan and paid time off.The annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $84,000 to $100,000The base salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual #39;s skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration to internal equity.We pay our people competitively in the markets in which we compete for talent and with consideration to internal equity and job structure.
