If you are the successful candidate, we will require you, in accordance with this Policy, to fill out a vaccine attestation form before an offer of employment is extended.DutiesPlanning and identifying maintenance tasks and all required tools and materiel to complete the tasks for the bases assigned aircraft.Conducting scheduled aircraft inspections in accordance with approved procedures.Troubleshooting and rectifying unscheduled ac unserviceabilities in accordance with approved procedures.Exercising and documenting in accordance with CARs and the ASD Maintenance Control Manual (MCM) the nature and extent of all maintenance conducted on CCG aircraft in the appropriate technical records.Certifying maintenance release for all maintenance tasks that the individual either completed or supervised.Working with pilots, Coast Guard personnel, ASD HQ personnel to manage and schedule maintenance operations.Submitting safety and service difficulty issues to the Safety Management System in a clear and concise manner.Liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) personnel to solicit clarification regarding maintenance procedures when not clear or published.Support ASD #39;s QA assurance programme by participating in and addressing observations in order to support the continuous improvement of ASD #39;s maintenance practices.As a CCG AME, the employee is required to maintain an AME licence, obtain and maintain his ASD Aircraft Certifying Authority (ACA), maintain his Health Canada fitness level to sail aboard CCG vessels, obtain and maintain his helicopter underwater egress training (HUET) certification, and be capable of deploying independently to support single aircraft operations.Work environmentTRANSPORT CANADA: A SMART CAREER MOVE!Apply today for an opportunity to join Transport Canada.We are looking for dynamic candidates that will help shape and build the future of Transport Canada. • Significant experience means at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Recent is defined as within the last 4 years.
