Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is searching for a Municipal Engineering Graduate to be based in our Victoria, BC office .The candidate will have completed an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering and have interest and understanding in civil engineering, civil technology and construction management principles and with the design and construction of municipal infrastructure. They will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and occasionally with clients. They will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and display drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done. They will be expected to support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal water, wastewater and storm water sector.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:- Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out municipal engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.- Exercise judgement limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives- Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids- Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections within the Autodesk Civil 3D- Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member- Water distribution system hydraulic modeling, analysis, and design- Sewer collection system evaluation and design- Stormwater modeling, analysis, and design- Contract administration support and site inspection during the construction of municipal infrastructure- Actively engage in professional development and industry eventsQualificationsMinimum Requirements:- Must have completed undergraduate degree in civil engineering or any related field.Additional Information- Relocation is available for this position.- Sponsorship is not available for this position.- Offered rate of compensation in (Victoria, BC) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
