Job Description

Position SummaryThe Development Coordinator is a key member of our fundraising team, with a balanced focus on grant writing and general fundraising responsibilities, particularly database coordination. The Development Coordinator reports to the Development Manager in a flexible hybrid working environment. Personal integrity, sound judgment, a donor service orientation, a commitment to professional ethics, and a love of team collaboration are essential.Summary of Responsibilities

RequirementsQualificationsRequired
  • Demonstrated sincere interest and current knowledge of Indigenous rights and issues, including the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
  • Proven experience in grant writing, database coordination, and fundraising.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, business administration, social science).
  • Affiliation with a professional fundraising association.
  • Networked within environmental, social justice, and/or Indigenous rights movements.
