Want inThe Position:The Director of Business Development is an Independent Contractor role responsible for bringing in new business and strategic relationships to the company, responsible for the dedicated region of British Columbia. Working in the luxury property market, interacting with high net worth individuals and luxury real estate professionals, this opportunity demands solid sales, presentation and relationship building skills. Primary responsibilities include daily market research and active prospecting to bring on new auction opportunities and preparation of written proposals and building long-term real estate industry relationships. Supported by a Regional Vice President and strong in-house project management and marketing departments, this position requires a self-starter who is passionate about the company vision, confident in their ability and dedicated to achieving their production goals. The ideal BD is well suited to manage multiple lines of prospecting activities at all times while maintaining consistency and company integrity.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactive promotion of company auction services to prospective sellers and real estate agents
  • Work closely with the inside Project Management team to support conversion as details of the auction may be fluid
  • Communicate regularly with Auction Director, Project Manager, and Marketing Manager
  • Prepare auction marketing proposals and auction marketing agreements for new clients
  • Maintaining consistent travel and in-person sales efforts in assigned region
  • Closing and execution of auction agreements with new clients
  • Structured daily prospecting and follow-up activities to meet goals and quotas
  • Real estate office presentations to educate agents about company services
  • Networking to generate consistent seller referrals from luxury real estate agents
  • Managing personal travel arrangements and expenses
  • Dress and act in a professional manner expected in the luxury market
  • Be able to speak about other current company auctions
  • Consistent updating of company CRM and other company tools
  • Data mining existing company database and resources to create new business opportunities
  • Investigate regional luxury property market to find current and future auction opportunities
  • Meeting with key influencers and business owners through local networking organizations
  • Working closely with company, across departments
  • Attend auction team calls and meetings as scheduled
  • Assisting in-house marketing department with property and area information
  • Communicate regularly with Inside Project Manager.
  • Be available for our Auction and Closing Teams as needed
Requirements
  • Must possess an active Real Estate License in British Colombia
  • Transfer any Real Estate License(s) to Concierge Auctions (where the company has an active brokerage)
  • Experience in real estate or industry related sales
  • Proven track record of 5-7+ years of face-to-face direct sales or account management experience
  • Ability to travel extensively and maintain high energy level
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Experienced in negotiations and goal driven
  • Maintain focus and organization when working alone
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and avoid conflict
  • Internet and social media savvy
  • Confident and proactive problem solver
  • Can keep things confidential
