In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of Island Health (Vancouver Island Health Authority), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.Reporting to the Supervisor, Electrodiagnostic Services, and working in a computerized environment, the Electroneurophysiology (ENP) Technolgist performs multi-disciplinary electroneurophysiological (ENP) tests, including electroencephalograms, evoked potentials, electronystagmograms, and nerve conduction studies. Performs tasks assigned by physicians in the execution of electromyographs.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceSuccessful completion of a recognized program in Electroneuraophysiology Technology and current certification with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalograph Technologists (CBRET) or the American Board of Electroencephalograph Technologists (ABRET).Eligible for membership in the British Columbia Society of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (BCSET) or the Association of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (AETC).Skills And Abilities
