Are you a clinical leader committed to driving the highest quality of care and services to patients and families living with cancer Can you inspire a culture focused on research and development to support cancer care now and into the futureReporting to the Senior Executive Director, Clinical Programs and Policy or other such person as BC Cancer may designate .The Executive Medical Director (EMD) for each regional centre is a member of BC Cancer #39;s senior leadership team. Working in full partnership with the BC Cancer’s Executive Director, Regional Clinical Operations for each regional centre, this position is jointly accountable for ensuring management of the cancer care programs and services within the region.Specifically, the EMD works with stakeholders throughout the provincial health care system to improve patient care service models and establishes the framework and infrastructure for program deliver and planning and manages medical resources. The role champions a highly innovative and intellectual research culture.As the most senior medical leader at the regional centre, the EMD ensures all programs and services are of the highest quality and standard of medical care for this crucial patient population. Together, the EMD and the Executive Director oversee the direction of human, financial and material resources required to support the goals, policies and vision of BC Cancer and its regional services.What you’ll do In partnership with the Executive Director, improve the health of the populations served:Leadership, Planning and Administration
