Job Description

On behalf of our public-sector client, Ignite Technical Resources is seeking two (2) experienced Certified ServiceNow Functional Implementation Consultants with demonstrated depth of experience with ServiceNow #39;s Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module to join our Client’s technology team on a contract basis.This role is 99% remote with travel once per quarter to the Clients’ offices in Victoria, BC.Project Summary: The role is in support of the Client’s Service Management Transformation Program (SMTP) - multi-year transformation of IT service management operations.The SMTP involves the implementation of the OCIO My Service Centre (My SC), a cloud-based IT service management tool powered by ServiceNow. The Client is implementing various modules of ServiceNow, with several already in production which include: Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, Order Management (Service Request, Request for Fulfillment, Service Catalogue), Service Asset and Configuration Management and Configuration Management Database (SACM/CMDB), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), Field Services (FSM), Continuous Improvement (CIM) and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).Experienceamp; Skills:

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in Hardware Asset Management (HAM):
  • Deep expertise in managing hardware assets throughout their lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, tracking, and disposal.
  • Proven experience in implementing and optimizing HAM processes within the ServiceNow platform.
ServiceNow Expertise:
  • Extensive experience with ServiceNow HAM module, including asset discovery, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM, and CMDB modules, and how they integrate with HAM.
  • Experience in configuring and customizing ServiceNow workflows, forms, and integrations to support HAM processes.
HAM Best Practices:
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices for hardware asset management, including inventory management, compliance, and financial tracking.
  • Ability to design and implement effective asset tracking systems that ensure data accuracy and asset visibility.
Process Optimization:
  • Proven track record of optimizing HAM processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance.
  • Experience in aligning HAM processes with broader IT and business strategies.
Client-Facing Skills:
  • Excellent ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive leadership.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining HAM processes and benefits to non-technical audiences.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
  • Highly skilled in analyzing hardware asset data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware asset management within ServiceNow.
Project Management:
  • Experience in leading HAM projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring of project milestones.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
ITIL and IT Service Management Frameworks:
  • Familiarity with ITIL and other relevant IT service management frameworks, with the ability to apply these principles to HAM.
Data Management:
  • Experience in data modeling, database management, and ensuring data integrity within ServiceNow #39;s HAM module.
Certifications:
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – HAM (Hardware Asset Management) preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification or higher is a plus.
Terms:This is a full-time contract role based. Work location is 100% remote with occasionally (every 2-3 months) travel to Victoria, BC. The successful Candidate must reside in Canada for data-privacy reasons.The initial contract is 6 months with a strong probability for extension(s).
