The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.The Parliamentary Education Office is seeking up to nine passionate, motivated and organized individuals for the auxiliary as-and-when position of Tour Guide.Reporting to the Parliamentary Tour Officer, the Tour Guide is responsible for delivering informative educational tours. Tours incorporate information on the history of B.C. and Canada, the parliamentary processes in B.C. and the architecture of the B.C. Parliament Buildings. The Tour Guide must adapt tours to meet the diverse needs of many different visitors and are required to spend a significant amount of time outside welcoming visitors to the Parliament Buildings.QUALIFICATIONSApplicants must be/have:

  • Enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution during the Fall and/or Spring semesters of this school year.
  • Experience public speaking before large audiences and/or school groups.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
  • Experience working with children or ESL students.
  • Experience studying and/or working overseas.
