Abstract Developments is looking for a competent level 2 First Aid Labourer or 1st or 2nd year apprentice to work on our multifamily residential projects in the Greater Victoria/Langford area. You will work on site closely with the Site Foreman, as well as the Site Superintendent to complete a wide variety of construction related tasks. You must be able to show up on time, ready to work, 5 days a week. The ideal candidate would have their own transportation or be able to be at the site for 7:00a.m. start time. Knowledge of safe work procedures is key, safety is our top priority. We have lots of work on the horizon and are looking to add to our team.ResponsibilitiesFirst Aid (level 2) designation for the siteUnloading and loading construction materials, and moving them to appropriate areasReport to site Foreman and Superintendent for tasks/concernsTending equipment such as compressors or pumpsOperate gas powered compactors/cut off saws/generatorsOperate power tools including chop/table/circular saws, air nailers, hammer drills, etcLeveling earth to fine grade specs using shovels and rakesRemove construction waste and debris using shovels, rakes and wheelbarrowsDirecting traffic at or near construction sitesRequirements
