Job Description

As the first point of contact, the receptionist plays a valuable role and is responsible for ensuring exceptional service through greeting residents, staff, visitors and as well as general administrative support. **Please note that the hours of work are Friday and Saturday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Hours of work, days off and duties are subject to change due to operational demands and occupancy.Responsibilities

  • Provide a friendly and approachable image as the first point of contact
  • Maintain a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors
  • Ability to build relationships with residents, staff, and visitors while using compassion when dealing with difficult situations
  • Manage incoming calls and transfer to appropriate individual
  • Maintaining resident services and identify areas for improvements
  • Respond to resident inquiries promptly
  • Assist with coordination of move ins
  • Operate and maintain office equipment
  • General administrative support; documentation, mail/courier, office supply inventory
  • Other duties as assigned to support operational requirements
Qualifications and Experience
  • One (1) year experience as a Concierge or similar role is preferred
  • Completion of post-secondary administration program is an asset
  • Experience in a residential care setting is an asset
  • Demonstrated excellent client service skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills to interact with residents, staff and visitors
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrating strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills with Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
