Job Description

Position Summary Are you passionate about safety and guest experience Looking for a place to put your skills to play, making guests feel safe and specialWe are looking for a personable, energetic, and passionate individual for the position of a Security Officer. Under the supervision of the Security Manager, you will be responsible for protecting patrons, staff and assets to ensure the integrity of the gaming floor and company property! Get in the game.... Its All You.Key Accountabilities

  • • Preparing statements/reports on internal andexternal violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities• Enrolling guests into the Self-Exclusion Program• Conducting regular patrols of the entire property as directed; identifies risks and conditions that present safety issues• Providing or assisting with First Aid for employees and guests• Responding to, resolving or escalating securityissues• May escort guests and employees or escortduties as required• Liaising and communicating effectively with allappropriate operational departments• Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and employees• Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations• Performing other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
  • • High school diploma required, post secondaryeducation an asset• Strong communication and public relations skills• Second language an asset• Previous experience or training in security an asset• Ability to multi-task and prioritize• Ability to be adaptable and flexible with work schedule• Exceptional organizational, problem solving andconflict resolution capabilities• Good knowledge of MS Office and Outlook• Certification in Occupational First Aid Level 2 and WHMIS an asset• Completion of Gaming Security Officer training an asset• The ability to successfully obtain or maintain a CriminalRecord Check through the GamingPolicy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
Work Environment Considerations
  • Regular casino environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, some elements of danger, some exposure to the elements, some exposure to noise, some exposure to verbal or physical abuse, non-traditional work hours
