Your Opportunity:Reporting to the Supervisor of Registration, Switchboard and Patient Information, the Administrative Support IV will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate scheduling of client/patient appointments in the patient care systems, receipting of patient chargeable, applying payments and patient billing across multidisciplinary teams. Other responsibilities: Collects hospital fees for uninsured and out-of-country services. Answer telephones; greet the public and direct individuals accordingly. Uniquely identifies patients, verifies and validates patient information, registers patients in ADT system after performing appropriate searches in accordance with the Provincial Registration Standards and Best Practice. Accesses the Alberta Netcare/Person Directory and PIN Applications to obtain and/or create Unique Lifetime Identifiers (ULIs) and print Pharmaceutical Profiles. Checks, balances and reports cash floats. Frequent interruptions, juggling multiple tasks, and inquiries happening at once. Maintains a professional working relationship with other health care professionals within and outside the facility. As well as law enforcement and any other professionals that have contact with you on a daily basis. Maintains compassion and respect for patients and their families. This position primarily consists of sedentary work and you may be required to lift up to 25 lbs. Candidates will be tested for their knowledge of Medical Terminology and typing speed.Description:As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
