Your Opportunity:The Vulcan Community Health Centre is part of a friendly and vibrant community located approximately 80 mins south east of Calgary. This rural community is surrounded by beautiful farm land and several smaller communities. This facility provides a wide range of healthcare services including a 24/7 emergency department. As a Stores I, you will be responsible for issuing, replenishing and restocking of medical/surgical supplies throughout the Hospital and Health Centre. Other key functions you will perform include moderately complex clerical and manual duties involved in shipping, receiving, warehousing, and delivering of supplies and linens. As an integral link in the Health Care chain, you will have the opportunity communicate with all levels and departments of Alberta Health Services as required to provide optimum customer service and in doing so contributing to the highest level of patient care.Description:As a Stores I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of orders for hospital supplies, equipment and/or food in accordance with AHS guidelines and standards. You will process incoming requisitions and distribute supplies, complete cart audits for quality assurance and communicates frequently with stakeholders to ensure appropriate and correct quantity of supplies are available. In addition, you will track and report on inventory to ensure over stocking does not occur.
