Job Description

Warman Home Centre is recruiting for an experienced Lumber Sales Associate for our busy retail lumber yard.Our Sales Associates deliver a high standard of cost estimating and sales services to our customers/contractors for all their building needs: decks, fences, sheds, home renovations, houses, pole sheds, garages, etc. The selected candidate will assist in these efforts by providing exceptional product knowledge and customer service, with the goal of growing and strengthening our existing clientele.Position Requirements:

  • In depth knowledge of construction; building materials industry; and products
  • General knowledge of cost estimating such as ability to read blue prints; etc.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent math skills required
  • Computer experience required – such as Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands
  • Be adaptable, organized, efficient and committed
  • Have a commitment to quality and an eye for detail
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Able to work a variety of shifts – including Saturdays, evenings and statutory holidays on a rotational basis. We are closed Sunday's as we believe in the importance of family values
  • Retail experience in a similar position would be a considerable asset
