Job Description

Mail Clerk We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mail Clerk for our client in the insurance industry. This role is crucial in overseeing the effective operation of the main mail distribution centers for head office and main locations across Canada, ensuring the accurate and efficient management of all outgoing Advisor mail for the Canadian Division Mail Services operation.What is in it for you:• Hourly salary of $16.55.• 6-month contract.• Full-time position: 40 hours per week.• Schedule: 7:30 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.• Work Location: In-office.Responsibilities:• Ensure service standards are met or exceeded in the distribution of Advisor mail to Advisors and Canadian Division Resource Centres across Canada.• Provide quality customer service and support to Advisors through business unit initiatives and production.• Receive, open (as applicable), sort, and deliver all incoming mail, output, and courier to various business units within the Canadian Division.• Prepare, sort, and ship all outgoing mail and couriers.• Handle final processing of troubleshooting mail, requiring a higher level of knowledge and skill.• Process inbound bulk mail, stats, and daily workflow.• Train all new staff within the mailroom.• Manage the mail services to meet the service levels determined by the Business Units requirements and standards.What you will need to succeed:• Solid knowledge of the Goldmine system/mapping database.• Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.• Experience in using Microsoft Outlook.• Excellent PC skills, both in speed and accuracy.• Strong multi-tasking skills.• Excellent organizational abilities.• Proficient prioritizing skills, especially in a high-volume environment.• Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.• Ability to effectively manage fluctuating volumes.• Accuracy and attention to detail.• Demonstrated effective communication skills, both verbal and written.• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team.• Strong analytical skills.• Excellent problem-solving abilities.• Demonstrated capability to manage and adapt to change.• Excellent understanding of Advisor contract provisions, practices, and terminology.• Strong overall knowledge of business units, line areas, and their products.• Capability of lifting heavy items, up to 20lbs.Why Recruit ActionRecruit Action (agency permit: AP-2000003) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach to job seekers and businesses.
