Buckland strives to provide customized services in a memorable way.Position SummaryThis position reports to the Team Leader, Air/Ocean and is responsible for handling of the documentation preparation, monitoring and coordinating of customs release of shipments for the import of commercial goods into Canada in accordance with the Customs Act. Provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors and service providers in acquiring the proper import documentation in a timely manner.What we can offer you

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately prepare customs and internal documents with minimum guidance
  • Completion of high volume complex entries with minimal guidance as defined by performance benchmarking
  • Ability to resolve issues that arise with Customs clearance (reject notices, eManifest errors, paper packages) with minimal guidance
  • Knowledge of FTA/NAFTA and when to apply this to shipments
  • Ability to accurately complete final Invoicing of customs entries to CBSA within the allotted timeframe
  • Reviewing accuracy of entries completed by other Team members as required
  • Efficiently clearing and tracing shipments through to delivery
  • Request payment, original documents, and send delivery instructions as required
  • Liaise with Freight Department
The ideal candidate will bring:
  • 2+ years of industry experience and FTA basic knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of customs and related paperwork
  • Secondary school diploma
  • Strong understanding of the import process for Air & Ocean imports from origin to final destination
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently perform internet parts search
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently
  • Must be able to work effectively while under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills as well good time management capabilities
  • Accurate and fast keyboarding skills
  • Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel to USA/Mexico
