About Company:True North Cannabis Co. is an emerging Cannabis retailer that believes in providing our clients with high-end, affordable cannabis and cannabis accessories across Ontario.About Position:Reporting to the General Manager, Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the human, physical and financial resources of the store and ensuring the store objectives are achieved.Tasks and Responsibilities:Review and update product displays to ensure the customer experience reflects available product and sales prioritiesMaintain an efficient standardized back of house lay-out to maximize filling efficiency, ease of re-stocking, ease of inventory counting, and control of shrinkEnsures that backroom inventory management are to standard at all timesEnsure the exterior of the store, and customer entrance area are clean and presented as new every dayPerforms other duties as assignedProactively engages customers with increased focus during peak traffic timesEnsures that exceptional customer service is provided beyond expectationEnsures employees present proper image to the public in accordance with Uniform Policy and Dress Code GuidelinesAnswers inquiries and resolve customer complaints according to guidelinesDemonstrates product knowledge and familiarity with the location of products throughout the storeEmpowers employees to ensure customer satisfactionMaintain control of store inventory file in POS systemEnsure POS transactions and end of day cash reconciliation is accurate and follow-up and any discrepanciesQualifications:Minimum of 3 years work experience in a supervisory/management roleMust be able to successfully pass a criminal background checkStrong verbal and written communication skillsSuperior interpersonal and coaching skillsPost-secondary education in Business Accounting courses or equivalent will be considered an assetSupport all Corporate programs within the businessProven ability to lead a team of 5+ team membersPrior work experience in a regulated environment is a definite asset (LCBO, Tobacco, Gaming)Knowledge of and experience working with the Cannabis industry would be considered an assetDesire and ability to develop a positive in-depth understanding of cannabisMust be enthusiastic, friendly, optimistic, outgoing, and a team playerProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)Ability to analyze data to make decisionsMust have excellent attendance and professionalismDetail-oriented and able to handle cash, and operate a POS registerStrong organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skillsAvailable to work rotating shifts including days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and some holidaysValid CanSell certificationTrue North Cannabis Co. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
