Superior Facility Services is a family owned company providing laundry and housekeeping services to long term care and retirement facilities for over 30 years. We are searching for permanent Cleaners (housekeeping / laundry aides) for our location in Welland Ontario - Royal Rose.Candidate must be able to work in both housekeeping and laundry departments as per needs of the facility. This is a permanent position and requires flexibility and availability each week. Must be able to work day and afternoon shifts and must be available for weekend shifts. This is a long term care facility and an essential service. Candidates MUST be willing to work during pandemic and adhere to policies and regulations regarding Covid 19 in Long Term Care.Must provide Vulnerable Sector Police Check and 2 Step TB Test.Duties:Follow job routines to maintain overall cleanliness of facility; launder and deliver facility linens and resident clothing; sweep, mop and wash floors; dust furniture; vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture; clean, disinfect fixtures; disinfect rooms and other areas; clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures; clean and disinfect elevators; handle and report lost and found items; pick up debris and empty trash containers.Working Conditions:Must be able to stand for long periods (experience is an asset but willing to train the right candidate)Must enjoy working with seniors and bring a positive can do attitude to work everyday.Involves pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and standing and walking for long periods of time.Willing to train the right candidate but experience is considered an asset.Superior Facility Services welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
