Job Description

The Pharmacy Assistant assists the Pharmacist in the technical aspects of prescription filling and administrative duties in order to increase the Pharmacist's opportunity to provide patient care. The Pharmacy Assistant is expected to participate in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations required of a team player.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fill a variety of prescriptions efficiently to maintain workflow
  • Prepare compounds, mixtures and temperature control items
  • Package blister pack medications
  • Deliver completed product based on schedules
  • Ensure organization of work station and inventory shelves
  • Maintain appropriate supplies and materials
  • Some involvement in prescription information management
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment where high attention to detail and accuracy is essential

  • High School Diploma
Requirements
  • Must know KROLL SOFTWARE pharmacy software
  • 1 year or more experience working in a retail pharmacy environment
  • Fluent in English
