Job Description

Quality Control Technician Northern Gold Foods Ltd., a food processing facility in Welland, Ontario is currently seeking a Full-Time Quality Control Technician.The primary responsibilities for this entry-level position will include: · Monitoring, sampling and testing food products to ensure they comply with quality standards and customer specifications.· Verification of sanitation activities, including preoperational inspections, swabbing, and communicating corrective actions to production personnel.· HACCP monitoring and verification, including metal detector and x-ray checks and calibrations.· Aseptic sampling for microbiological, allergen and other product testing and validation.· Completing and filing accurate and legible QC records and documentation.· Calibration, cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment.· Liaising with production personnel and supervisors on day to day activities.· MUST be willing and able to work rotating or straight 8 to12 hour shifts scheduled within a 24/7 operation (includes continental, nights and weekend shifts).You will have: · A High school diploma.· Working knowledge of HACCP and GMP’s.· Strong computer and organizational skills; working knowledge of MS Office.· Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.Compensation: · Competitive Wages.· Employee benefit package including Health/Dental/Vision care.To Apply: Interested and qualified candidates are invited to submit their cover letter, resume and salary expectations.
