We are a COR Certified Winnipeg based Cartage and Landscape company celebrating over 25 years in business and currently seeking Class 1A Truck Drivers.B & B Landscape & Cartage Inc. offers competitive wages and employee benefits. We have a fleet of modern trucks which are well maintained.Reporting to the Dispatcher or General Manager the Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Tandem/Triple Axel trucks & trailers, transporting and delivering materials or equipment to the job site.Requirements & Qualifications: · Maintain a valid class 1A Driver’s license with a clean abstract.Responsibilities: · Operate the Tandem, Tri-Dump, End-Dump, and Live Bottom Trucks and equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.· Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment. Ensure all vehicle documents and applicable permits are valid and present in the vehicle.· Ensure proper loading of materials, and verify the type and weight of the materials being hauled.· Ensure the on time delivery of materials reducing bottlenecks in the construction process.· Hose, shovel or take out the truck box to remove debris, when necessary.· Ensure the area above and around the truck is clear of overhead lines and other obstructions before raising the box to dump loads.· Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, sub-contractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.· Attend and actively contribute to safety meetings.· Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of a variety of truck styles.· Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.· The ability to follow directions, hard work and dependability are extremely important.· Fill out all necessary paperwork accurately, neatly and completely.· Use proper two-way radio etiquette.· Perform miscellaneous activities throughout the day, as directed.Experience – Minimum 2+ years’ end dump experience.Willing to work overtime.If you are interested in becoming part of a strong team, and a leader in the cartage and landscape business, please forward your resume along with 3 professional references to this ad or fax to 204-334-2226.Only those considered for employment will be contacted.Wage will depend on experience and proficiency of the applicant.Job Type: Full-timeExperience: Driving: 2 years (Required)License or certification: Valid Manitoba Class 1A Drivers License (Required)Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $23.00-$26.00 per hourBenefits:
