Employment Type: CasualLocation: Brookhaven Extended CareDepartment: BKN Food ServicesReports to: Manager or DelegateHours: Rotating Days and EveningsBrookhaven Extended Care in West Kelowna is looking for Casual Food Service Workers to join their team!Do you have your Food Safe Certificate and Grade 10, or equivalent combination of education, training and experienceAs a Casual Food Service Worker, you are in charge of performing various duties within the Food Service Operations, like portioning and servicing meals and beverages within a dining room and/or cafeteria operation, and counting, weighing, and/or measuring ingredients for an assigned food preparation area. You will also complete tasks such as washing and peeling vegetables and fruit, assembling beverages and food items like tea, coffee, sandwiches, salads, bag lunches, items for Meals on Wheels, and washing dishes and utensils.You will also:Set up and deliver meal cartsCleaning of food service areasClerical duties such as answering the telephone, filing, writing information on menu cardsOther related duties as assignedThis is a casual opportunity, casual meaning that there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week.Due to the pandemic, there are opportunities to pick up shifts if candidates desire to work closer to full-time hours.
