Under New Management - Come and join The Cove Lakeside Resort Team. Located in West Kelowna, British Columbia’s beautiful Okanagan Valley, The Cove Lakeside Resort is looking for a House Attendant to join our busy Housekeeping team. This position is responsible to ensure the appearance of all areas throughout the Resort are clean and maintained at the highest level of standards while providing exceptional guest services in accordance with the Resorts core values, mission, standards and policies.Responsibilities:Provide exceptional guest service by responding to guest inquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.Clean and maintain meeting spaces, pool area, BBQ’s, ice machine areas, and back of house areas.Ensure all storage rooms, supplies and equipment are kept stocked and in a neat and orderly fashion.Understand and make certain the correct usage, storage and handling of all cleaning agents, materials, equipment and chemicals are in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturer’s instructions.Use and clean equipment with care, reporting any defective equipment to the Housekeeping Supervisor.Report all maintenance faults to proper channels.Maintain and organize the pool area (during summer season only).Strip vacant guest rooms of bedding, towels, garbage etc.Report lost or found items to the Housekeeping Supervisor.Complete rug, carpet and upholstered furniture cleaning as required.Maintain housekeeping carts in a clean and orderly fashion.Ensure all laundry is safely collected and prepared for either onsite or offsite laundry.Process laundry using the onsite equipment including treating stains, loading, unloading and folding,Remove trash/dirty laundry from outside guest room doors.Deliver items to guest rooms.Maintain radio protocol and etiquette at all times.Maintain standards of punctuality, uniform, dress code and personal hygiene as appropriate to the position.Strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols and standards of service.Ensure proper usage of PPE where required.Provide assistance to Front Desk as required.Assist with the training of other team members.Complete Room Attendant duties as required.Complete other duties as assigned.The successful candidate must possess the following attributes and qualifications:Works well under pressure, can multi-task and is able to prioritize.Possess a keen eye for detail.Self-starter, with time management and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).Knowledge of WHIMS and chemical use.Flexible, efficient and punctual.Able to work independently, or team environment.Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance.Able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.Wage: $17.00 per hour plus summer incentive bonus.We thank all interested candidates for their application; only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
