If you are looking for a long-term career or a start to a rewarding career in hospitality join our team of service excellence superstars today!OVERVIEWThis position reports the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the general maintenance of guest rooms, meeting spaces and back of house areas. With an emphasis on preventive maintenance to ensure guests receive quality, cleanliness, safety and security.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Following up with guests to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, televisions, electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items.
  • Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors windows and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures if needed.
  • Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
  • Perform routine maintenance throughout the property, to include painting, carpet/floor cleaning, etc.
  • Carry out assigned duties as part of the Preventive Maintenance Schedule achieving standards required by property and company policy.
  • Carry out maintenance duties allocated on a daily basis in accordance with departmental requirements contributing to the smooth running of departments and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with the testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting etc. on a routine basis in line with property policy.
  • Liaise closely with the Maintenance supervisor regarding completion of work to minimize on rooms being out of order and contribute to the overall profitability of the property.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
ATTRIBUTES & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 2 years maintenance experience.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, general repair.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and solve problems accurately and efficiently.
  • Able to multi-task & meet deadlines.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
