Job Description

Akkodis is currently searching for an Informatics Technology Technician for a long-term contract within Ottawa.Job Summary:

  • This resource will augment the existing capacity to provide prompt on-site installation, support and maintenance of various IT equipment such as fiber-optic cables, server racks, network switches, modems, desktop devices, and other peripherals with a renowned GoC client.
The successful candidate must possess the following skills and experience:
  • Eligible for Top Secret clearance from Government of Canada (10+ years of residency in Canada)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience specialized in informatics technology services, such as:
  • Installation, maintenance, and termination of cables (fiber opticamp; copper) and other communications equipment such as switches, modems, etc
  • Assembly and configuration of server racks and interface cables
  • Supporting, configuring, and troubleshooting the desktop and peripheral environment
  • Managing IT assets inventory and preparing shipments, inputting data in database
The following requirements would be considered an asset:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in sciences, engineering, or IM/IT related studies
  • Certificate relevant to the position
