here for This is Marquise Hospitality video!Laundry Aide DetailsLocation: Longfields Manor LTC, 330 Beatrice Drive, Ottawa ONStatus: On CallWage: $19.39/ HourRequirement: X2 TB TestsShifts: As scheduled, must have open availability and be able to work weekendsStart Date: ASAPJob SummaryHow you will make an impact:You will be responsible for performing laundry services including cleaning and distributing linens to clients.As a Laundry Aide, you will:

  • Properly sort, wash and dry linens following the approved laundry procedures
  • Fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
  • Collect soiled linens along with redistributing clean linens
  • Transport supplies to include clean and soiled linen to the appropriate storage and collection areas
  • Routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn linens and following Standard Operating Procedure for damaged linens
  • Maintain the commercial and residential laundry rooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
About you:
  • Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry or equivalent combination of training and experience is an asset
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Able to operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, linen press, and clothing labeler
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team setting
  • Physically able to carry out duties of the position
