Job descriptionPOSITION SUMMARYKitchen Assistant / Cook is responsible for duties relating to the purchasing, preparation and serving of snacks and meals.KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEDuties will include but are not limited to the following…

  • Assist in preparing snacks and lunch for toddlers and Pre-K children
  • Ability to cook meals and bake from scratch.
  • Must be able to make lunch accommodating dietary restrictions and allergies.
  • Has a large knowledge on kitchen preparation with first in, first out
  • Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and sanitary at all times, washing snack and lunch dishes, cups, cutlery, containers etc.
  • Setting up bins for snacks and lunch
  • Maintaining proper temperatures of food and keeping a log
  • Being flexible and open to change
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Works with a positive attitude and as a team player
  • Have the physical stamina and ability to kneel, bend, lift and stand for extended periods.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
  • CPR and First Aid Level C
  • Current Criminal Background Check
  • Food Handlers Certification
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.
